Gemological Institute of America (GIA)

Established in 1931, specializing in the grading of diamonds — GIA is the world’s foremost authority on diamonds. A public benefit, nonprofit institute, GIA is the leading source of knowledge, standards, and education in gems and jewelry. GIA researchers have made many innovative contributions to the understanding of gems. PARIS PRECIOUS focuses on diamonds graded by the GIA.

Gem Research Swisslab (GRS)

Founded in 1996, GRS is a private independent gemological research laboratory, specializing in the determination of origin and authenticity reports for ruby, sapphire and emerald plus other important coloured gems including spinel, tourmaline, garnet and jade.

Their research laboratories, strategically located in key global sites are equipped with the latest most sophisticated technology to recognize and identify today’s advanced gemstone treatments. Ongoing research conducted via expeditions to the world’s most important mines appears in their own film documentaries and book series, contributing to Gemology. Gems of PARIS PRECIOUS are largely graded by the trusted Gem Lab.
